"3.5 stars \n\nI have a lot to say sooo bare with me:\n\nParking \nThey have self park ($35 plus tax) a night per car. We valeted and it's $65/night per car per room plus tax, and you should also factor in tipping each time. \nYou are able to keep your car in valet the entire day the day you check out. We checked out Friday, finished Disneyland at 10 pm and picked it up then. \n\nRoom\nIt's pricey for what I'd say is a basic style room. I assumed there'd be a bathtub since there's a lot of families. We were upgraded to a partial park view (in a previous stay we had a courtyard view). The upgrade was very kind.\n*** this is my BIGGEST issue***\nSee my picture of the pill. My younger son found this pill just under the chair shown in another picture in the room. I'm VERY lucky that he has never been a kid to put things in his mouth. No idea what I was but I did call down immediately and later when we came back were cookies from housekeeping. I understand people may drop things or maybe it's "just" a vitamin BUT I really would expect a better job cleaning, knowing a huge part of the visitors are kids. \n\nHotel\nThe hotel is very pretty, it has a charm to it. From the lobby there's a little area to watch old Disney shows with smaller chair my kids thought was really cool. There was a large fireplace room/area which is neat if you like to sit by a fireplace- not my thing but I know people who would have loved it. \nIt feels so spaced out which has its pros and cons for sure. \n\nStroller\nIf you rent a stroller from the park they will not let you bring it into the hotel, at least not through the entrance from downtown Disney. I suppose I understand that but I didn't like having to park it outside when we'd go to our room for a break.\n\nThe entrance in and out of CA Adventures is nice and feels so "cool" but obviously you must have a ticket for that park. \n\nThe character breakfast on property was in my opinion over priced for the food itself but both my boys were over the moon with seeing SO many characters and getting to hug each one. The don't know the princesses at all so I was worried that would be most of them but there were a lot of other ones my boys knew. For the food, I'd skip it, for the experience is do it again. \n\nPool\nThe pool was really nice. The three times we've stayed, we haven't had an issue getting a spot by the pool. The loungers are AMAZING! So padded and comfortable. One of the times we rented a little day bed and it was very convenient with my grandma with us to ensure we had a spot when we would go and come with shade. Again, foods not great here either. One of the times we were there we did get to experience the fun games the cast put on. The kids of all ages there loved it!"

"Visited last week and thought they did a nice job of updating it. It is filled with cute Pixar themed decor now and sometimes a Pixar character is walking around, who you can take pictures with. Everything was so cute and I loved the Christmas decorations. The beds are still comfortable and there is a good amount of space in the room. I like that they added a coffee shop. It opens at 6 and it is nice to find coffee before heading to the parks. My go to was a cold brew with vanilla and oat milk. Very delicious! They have some eats too - fruit, pastries, goodies. All of them looked good. We did not try the actual restaurant but the menu looked good. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to the monorail and about 15 to the front gates of both parks. Try to enter downtown Disney through the Grand California or there are two security gates located near the Disneyland hotel. \n\nMy only gripes are the elevators are still slow and they are getting rid of the hotel perks which were my reasons to stay. The Pixar only path to California Adventure and the advantage of early entry, which allows you to get in the parks 30 minutes before everyone else, will not be a thing starting next year. It is a bummer because they both were very helpful. Hopefully they will be rewarding guests with something else. Overall I enjoyed my stay."

"DO NOT STAY IN THE GARDEN TOWER ROOMS. \n\nPros: \n- Beautifully decorated lobby, especially for Christmas. \n- little deli has lots of snack options \n- the shuttles ran constantly while we were there. They felt clean and safe and were very convenient. \n- the second room we ended up in was clean and had decent AC. \n- microwave available downstairs 24/7\n\nCons: \n- our first room was terrible. It took multiple trips to the front desk to get this resolved and have our room switched. \n- Mini fridge in room was tiny and had no freezer box\n- the shuttle line can get long early in the morning and right after fireworks\n- all of the elevators are past expiration \n- even the hallways in the garden tower were gross and seemed to be falling apart \n\n\nGarden Tower Room: it was explained to us that this building has a central AC unit that is set to "neutral" during the winter time. Our room was humid and warm from the second we walked in. It would not read below 73° at all times. They offered us a fan, but the window only slightly opens and it was warm outside while we visited. Our bathtub had gross brown stains. We found a crack/leak in the hallway ceiling near our room. After multiple trips downstairs to speak to the front desk, they were able to offer me a room not in the Garden Tower."

The Disneyland Time Capsule will finally be able to be opened. No wait….that was for the 80th. Whelp, ten more years then….we have waited this long….. Moving on now…. The obvious forthcoming addition will be loads of 70th Anniversary merchandise, collectibles, and themed ‘Instagrammable’ food items. Those are a given for sure.
Now that said, an unannounced 2029 Disneyland project also could be a possibility. I sort of see Disney in a current headspace where they want a major attraction annually at DLR and 2 at WDW (with some consistent minor-moderate projects at all four of their Florida parks).
Any successful production in the Fantasyland Theater or Hyperion should have EXACTLY that effect. And Bluey is incredibly popular, as one of the most streamed shows for the past several years. If Bluey can't get people into that theater, they might as well tear it down. Absolutely it should...

There is pretty much nothing currently going on regarding the DLR that I'm dying to discuss at the moment, so I'm thinking ahead. Ten years ahead, to be exact. We are nearly exactly 10 years away from Disneyland's 75th birthday. Yes, the 70th will be here sooner, but the 75th will most likely...
Disneyland itself is hitting some major milestones, with Star Tours, Captain EO, and Splash Mountain hitting the scene. Mickey's Toontown, a new land for the park, is set to open in the next two years.
Shanghai Disneyland has Q'aráq the crocodile monster from Roaring Rapids (2016). DisneySea's Soarin has Camellia Falco (2019), Fantasy Springs has The Spirit of Fantasy Springs (2024), and Journey to the Center of the Earth has Hortense the Lava Monster (2001).
